North Carolina Hog & Bear

Fellas,

I was surfing the web researching NC black bear and hog hunting and came across Buffalo Creek Outfitters near Selma, NC. They offer deer, bear, hog and bobcat hunting, all free range. And the hogs are year round.

Their prices and what they have to offer seem decent.

Anyone have any input on this guide?

Re: North Carolina Hog & Bear

I lived in NC and Selma is 20 min SE of Raleigh where US70 and I 95 intersect. Deer - yes ... bobcats maybe but doubtful ... hogs - sure ... BUT the bear are likely not on site and its likely they have a place 45 mins to 60 east of there near the coastal swamps of NC where the big bear populations are ... actyally more there than in the mountains of NC ... lots of food big corporate peanut and soybean farms ect rough hunting in those swamps

Well, sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you, so the Dude must abide!

Yank are you familiar with the deer hunting in Birdie county NC. I was invited on a deer hunt this Oct, 26 to Nov. 3 and wanted to know how the hunting was. I know from my buddies that they hunt the coastal swamps and wanted to know what to expect and bring.

We hunted with Buffalo Creek back in 03 for hogs & deer. We have not been back since, and never will. If you're seriously thinking of going with them, PM me and I will tell you the good and bad.

I have a friend who owns alot of land in Birdie Co. They kill a ton of deer and some nice bucks. They hunt with dogs. There are also alot of bear. I have an open invite to hunt with them. When I have some time, I'll be there!
