Crooked Tree Lodge we were just there the end of september. Great guys and they bust their but to get you a bear. Great food. I can't wait to go back.

Did you get your bear? How long was the hunt? Did you run many bears before shooting yours? Thanks.

Re: MAine Bear Hunt with Hounds

Yes we all got our bear. He has been 100% on hound hunts for the past 13yrs. Our hunt was to be 6 days but we were done by thurs and came home early cause my son wanted to see his girlfriend barrel race at the fair. We only ran one other bear besides the ones we shot. He uses trail cams on baits so that they can look at the bears before you run them, it cuts down on running small bears and sows with cubs. You can pretty much pick the bear you want to run.

the thrill is not in the kill, but in the experience

Turnpike Ridge Outfitters, Maine. Took a 400 pounder on my first hound hunt with Don. A guy from Ohio also took a 325 pounder later in the week. Awesome hunt and great experience. Did it several years later for lion. That too was an awesome but brutal hunt! Best of luck to you!
