whispering hollows?

Hey guys,

Found on the net a preserve in PA called Whispering Hollows.

Their website looks pretty good.

Any one have any input on them?

Re: whispering hollows?

Hey fellas,

Never mind . . . I found out about this place myself via youtube.

From the vid I saw it looks like a ridiculous farm yard-type shoot; not a hunt at all.

Guys standing in full view of various game, talking, animals eating . . . and the kills were less than sporting.

Check it out.

Re: whispering hollows?

Some of those places are like that. Some are much more like hunting. It's tough to tell from their websites. I've only done one (actually, my 7 year old did one and I went along). It was at the island in the Susky. It was not hunting for any adult. It was a challenge for a 7 year old because there was 2 feet of snow on the ground. We had a good time, but I wouldn't take him back at 10 years old because it was no challenge at all. I've heard of some places that are 400 acres are so and you actually have to hunt. The animals actually flee and avoid human contact. I'm toying with taking him over the winter and maybe get another ram for the wall or a boar for the freezer. But, I'm trying to save up for a bear hunt so probably not.
