family vacation fishing/hunting trip

I'm looking for suggestions on a family vacation. My wife thought we might bring the kids with us on vacation this year, so she suggested a hunting or fishing trip or both. I thought maybe black bear/ fishing in canada but neither of my sons is old enough to hunt in canada. Also thought about an antelope hunt with some fishing but my youngest son isn't old enough to hunt in most states (he'll be 11 when we take the trip). So I think I'll have to lean towards just fishing. My budget will be around $3000 and will have to be drivable (wife won't fly). Anyone have any suggestions?

the thrill is not in the kill, but in the experience

Ask Larry.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Taggart Bay Lodge in Quebec is nice, we are going there in July for a week. They have their own website and will be at Jaffa Mosque show in Altoona end of this month.

Been there 3 times, twice with my 10 and 8 year old. Nothing but nice folks, warm weather, good food and lots of deer and fish. We go the last week of the sept.
