South Carolina hog hunt?

I'll be in Myrtle Beach from May 5-12. I was going to do some turkey hunting, but I'll miss their season. Anyone have any tips on where to do some hog hunting? It a family vacation, so I'll only be able to sneak away for a day. One guy I called wanted $400 per day to hunt his plantation. There has to be more econimical hunts out there.

You can shear a sheep many times, but you can only skin it once.

I hunted several years ago on the South Santee River not to far from Myrtle Beach. I shot a 250 blue boar and it cost me $300.00 for 1 day hunt.

Re: South Carolina hog hunt?

I contacted this guy and he said that he'd cut me a deal at $150 per day. Its a 2 hour ride from Myrtle Beach, but I think I might head over for a day's hunt.

That's a great deal! Hope you have a great hunt. My sister lives in Myrtle Beach so let me know how your hunt goes. Maybe I'll stop down and see her and get a hunt in too.

Here's a link to public land hunts in SC. You can search for hunts by game animal.

Re: South Carolina hog hunt?

Well, the hunt didn't work into my schedule. We are planning on going back the same time next year, so at least now I have a place to start my planning a little more in advance.
