FC Outfitters Ohio

Anyone have any input on this Ohio outfitter?

http://www.fcoutfitters.com/index.html

Should have asked earlier as I already booked, keeping fingers crossed for good reviews.

Re: FC Outfitters Ohio

Thanks. I have heard alot of good things about Southern Ohio Outfitters. I am taking my father and this hunt was a little more reasonably priced for two. The hunt is actually only three days but you can add days if needed

Re: FC Outfitters Ohio

I have never heard of this outfitter. Just looking at the website raises a few questions, if not concerns. 1st is the only been in business 2 or 3 years. 2nd 3 day hunts are very unusual. Normal is 5 to 7 day. The biggest red flag on 3 day hunt is he doesn't have enough ground to do langer hunts. 3rd is, does he have enough ground? almost all outfitter websites tout how much ground the have (usually over exaggerate). This outfitter never mentions it, only 1 place that says "400 new acres". 4th is no mention of limiting hunting pressure, even thought most outfitter will tell you only X will be booked per week (the you get their and its 2X or 3x as many).

Not saying this stuff is a deal breaker but its enough to question the outfitter further.

Re: FC Outfitters Ohio

The "all season pass" for 4K is also very strange. Just reading between the lines, this guy has 1 farm (hopefully 2 now with 400 new acres) and it gets heavy pressure.

One good thing is that 12 to 16 id prime time. Ohio rut seem alittle later that PA's. We have killed several good deer in Ohio on the 15th & 16th.

Re: FC Outfitters Ohio

They lease over 1000 acres and this additional 400 acre new property.
