Boar Hunts

Myself an 3 or 4 other guys are wanting to do a feral hog / Boar hunt. They do not have to be trophy size just an opportunity to hunt one. They have to be free chase, no pens or fences, that's just how we roll. We are trying to find somewhere within a days driving from Fayette county PA. Tennessee, Carolina's, Kentucky somewhere in that region.

Just wanting some opinions or suggestions. Has anyone every been to a good outfitter for boar. And don't suggest Google been there done that. I want a real world experience not what an outfitter wants to put on their web site.

Re: Boar Hunts

I have hunted both places and I am planning to go back to oe of them in Jan or Feb. They have added exotics since I have been at backwater boars so I can't attest for that part but the hogs are free range and there are several different ways to hunt them.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I've also hunted Cypress Creek and will recommend it. As John S will attest, this is true hunting here and no guarantees. The hogs are there, but don't bet the farm on killing one. I hunted there twice and only killed 1.

Happy acres expedition. It's in Georgia, I know you said carolina, kenntucky but you can't go wrong with Gary. Ive been there a few times for hogs and also for gator. He's a true southern gentleman good old boy who works his azz off for you. A fewguys on here have used him as well and besides the hunt and gary the lodge is nicer than my house !

Sab, yup thats my name...
