What are you talking about? Confusing and frustrating? I've hunted in Canada 4 times which has taken me through 2 different border crossings. Never had an issue! Fill out the US form 4457 before going to Canada and fill out their form at the border.

Yep.

By the way, even if you borrow or share a gun in Canada, you have to do the same paperwork as bringing a firearm across the border. The Canadian paperwork is not only an import permit, it is also a license to posses a specific firearm in the field and is required to be carried while transporting AND while hunting.
