The Wilderness PA

So it looks like Wilderness PA is where we are going. They were the only place that could accomodate all of us and still allow us to hunt what/when we wanted.

My questions are this: When you went there what did you hunt? Was the place clean? Were the meals decent? What weapn did you use? (it says you can use "ANYTHING", I am thinking sword! haha) How about the quality of animals?

Right now I am very torn as to hunting a trophy ram or a carolina hog. For me personally I would like to stay in that $500 neighborhood. What are your thoughts and suggestions?

Re: The Wilderness PA

We went on a hunt there last year. It was great. The accomadations are excellent. The lodge is very nice. The food is incredible. You are never hungry. The staff is excellent as well (a real family atmosphere). We shot 3 Carolinas last year and came away with over 700 lbs of meat. This year we are thinking, Hogs, Ram, Bufallo. It was very fun and relaxing. My sons and father haven't stopped talking about it. You will not be disappointed.

Re: The Wilderness PA

I think he is holding the weekend of June 24 for us. This is a bachelor party as mentioned and it appears there will be about 20 of us. I don't think everyoen is hunting but maybe. That will be a ton of pork if we all hunt!

Re: The Wilderness PA

Ok the time is drawing near......June 24 we head up for our hunt. The number of people going has changed to about 14. Now my biggest debate is what weapon I should use. I was leaning towards my bow but I have a potential neck/shoulder surgery coming and not sure if I can handle that. Options: Bow, samuri sword, crossbow, rifle, blow gun, slug gun, spear, trident.

Your thoughts?

Re: The Wilderness PA

1. Samurai sword
2. Spear
3. Trident

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.
