Re: Mohr's Widow Makers Island Hunting????

Another thread on here about that recently. Someone said in the thread that the pigs were not boars like russian boars. They were pigs as in Old McDonald had a farm pigs.

But I have never been there, so I don't know.

Re: Mohr's Widow Makers Island Hunting????

when you book a hog hunt he asks whether you want a hog to eat ( farm pig) or you want a trophy ( russian ). The russians are boars and taste like crap. I go every year and shoot a hog simply because I could just buy one and butcher it or go out and spend a day with friends having fun and shoot our own. Is it challenging not at all, I have been there on a couple occasions where not everyone has gotten their hog because they couldn't be found. I was also there when there was a russian running around and he was nasty charged a buddy and chased him for about 25 yard before it fell over dead. I found it very amusing, he didn't. lol

the thrill is not in the kill, but in the experience

My son and I talked about it, but we never did. After we found out about the owners affiliation and actions involving the USP, we decided to spend our money someplace else.
