Re: looking for a black bear outfitter

Myself and 6 of my buddies just went up to true north outfitters in new brunswick with Kory leslie. By far the best camp I have ever been to. He is a top notch guide who put you on bear. He also caters to you as if u were on a vacation. You park your vehicle when u get there and won't need it until you leave..food and lodge were great and it was right on the river . He has 2 boats for u if u wanna fish.

Stony Brook Outfitters. Has a Lodge in Maine and New Brunswick. Great Outfitter. Met bob at the sport and travel show in Monroeville. Handed me a Brochure and said call the references. Let his past Hunters sell his outfit. I booked right away. Was not disappointed. You won't either.

I've hunted with Bob three times, once in NB and twice in Maine. Killed three bears. Great outfit and great people. I'm currently thinking about doing the NB hunt again this spring.

But if you're set on color phase bears you'll have to look Manitoba and west.

Re: looking for a black bear outfitter

I live in Maine and hunt bears every fall. I'm not a guide just a hunter. If I was going to recommend a bear guide it would be Orion Outfitters. They are located in Western Maine in the big mountains. I live in this same area..we have a very high bear population. I don't know what they charge, but I know they work there tailends off. Some of the best guides in Maine don't have fancy websites to attract hunters.
