Re: Conklin's Lodge and camps

Why Maine, 12-13 hr drive. Why not try Quebec 9 hr. drive and lots of bear. Save fuel expense and time !

Maine has some decent operations, I only have experience with the Oxbow Lodge...place is second to none in all aspects.

Re: Conklin's Lodge and camps

I've only done two bear hunts, both with Stony Brook Outfitters. Several years ago at their spring New Brunswick camp and last fall at the Maine camp, which is their home camp.

Both operations were well run and I took a bear on each trip. I'm booked again this coming Sept 6th-12th at the Maine camp.

If you are interested you can check out my reviews of each hunt here:

Re: Conklin's Lodge and camps

As hunters I understand the draw of Canada; but as Americans we should boycott Canada as long as they have their irrational gun laws and registration schemes.

To a Democrat Everyday is April 15th.
