HOT AND HEAVY SMALL MOUTH ACTION.

What a GREAT temperature change last night. I had to take advantage of it and hit the creek for some Small Mouth action. The action was hot and heavy. The fish were eager to hit, like they haven't eaten in a week. Caught over 20 from 6" up to 12". Most in the 9" and 10" range. Even the little Red eye had a big appetite. It was refreshing to say the least.....

Nice Fish! I love this time of year for smallmouth fishing..Even though you stated that non of the fish you caught were necesarilly 'lunkers" I am sure they still put up one heck of a fight! Congrats on a fun night out!

Re: HOT AND HEAVY SMALL MOUTH ACTION.

NICE !!!

This is the best time of year for smallie fishing IMHO !!! Usually not big fish. But an ultralight, 2 colors of small jointed Rapalas, an ultralight and shorts & tennis shoes.

Nice trip. Love those smallies. 12 inch smallie will give you all an ultralight can handle!

Re: HOT AND HEAVY SMALL MOUTH ACTION.

You got that right. There are some spots along this creek that holds some 14"ers. I will target them later.

10" smallie is equivalent to a 20" stocked trout. what a blast.

Give me a secluded stream.

And a foot long smallmouth.

And I'm a happy man .
