Smallmouth and Spinnerbaits

I hear of some guys doing really well in the river with spinnerbaits.

Always loved using small spinnerbaits at bass ponds and such, but never used them while targeting smallmouth.

Anybody on here like using spinnerbaits? What brand has some productive spinnerbaits?

Thanks

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Re: Smallmouth and Spinnerbaits

Love fishing spinnerbaits for river smallmouth, I run them all summer after the top water bite slows around 8 am. My favorite is the strike king mini king. We really had smallmouth killing them when we used gulp swimming minnows and gulp twister tails as trailers.

Used them in creeks a lot for smallies. Not one particular brand worked better than others but I always carried a variety of colors and a mess of twister tails to match up a trailer. Same setup for largemouth in lakes too

I like the 1/2oz screaming eagle in silver/blue in clear water. I fish them fast and erratic!

Bigfoot saw me but nobody believes him!
