infared working ok?

purchased a m-100 off beebusy and finally had time to look at the pics. my daylight pics seem to be fine but the infrared seem blurred. is this normal? or anyone have any advice on how to adjust? pics are of animals about 20-30 feet away

have to add a pic of this black panther

Re: infared working ok?

I think it is because all the night pics something is always moving at rapid pace which causes blur. in the last doe picture her body is clear when she was standing still but she must have shook her head or moved it kinda fast. other than that the night detail is pretty good, maybe put a salt block there to see if you can get a clear night pic?

Looks like nice bright night pics to me....field of view is really impressive. The blurry motion pics are just the nature of the cameras. You get that even with high dollar Reconyx sometimes too.

My Bushnell Trophy cam does this also. I found that it does it much less when it set on 3 megapixels as opposed to 5 or 8. Reconyx cams do this less than most cams(I think that they are 3mp also) I believe the m-100 is a 6mp...and I'm not sure if it could be set lower.

Moultrie GameSpy M100 settings:
Photo Quality-(default High) The higher the quality of the photo image the more memory it consumes. However, higher quality images have higher resolution which results in clearer images especially when zooming in. There are four photo/image quality settings: Enhanced, High, Medium and Low. Press the Up/Down button to select the desired setting. Press the Enter button to save the setting and return to the Camera Setup mode.
This information was copied from my manual.

Re: infared working ok?

I have Reconyx stuff....and you still get this blur at times.
I think the trigger speed and quick recovery time of the Reconyx just catches those "still moments" more frequently.

I am impressed with the field of view of the Moultrie. If Reconyx could incorporate that into what they have now they'd be untouchable. Every now and again I catch a critter on the edge of the flash zone and they are sometimes tough to identify.
