Welcome to the zoo! hahahhaa. Ok little story for you guys, Ok the first 7 pictures are all the same 10pt. He is at least 4 1/2 years old probably more like 5 1/2 because he has been a 10pt for 4 1/2 years and im sure at least a scrub for at least a year or two before that. His rack changes very little every year its pretty close to the same size 4 years ago just a tad smaller. But his Body gets bigger every year. Look at the size of his body and Neck in the very first pic! You would think thats the rut! Not even close! It was taken Exactly Sept. 24th 8:54am. I have 1000's of pics of this 10pt. and you will see why.
This guy pretty much lives and Sleeps in my yard every single day for the past 4 1/2 years (how long I've lived at my house) He is here from End of April till middle of November. And from the Middle of November till End of April I Never see him. Hes only ever showed up one time in the winter at my feeder (7th pic down) on March 17 2010 and still supporting both sides. I found his sheds April 3rd the same year. That was pretty neat!
As you can see he's always with his Bachelor group from April till November. In 2008 I had 12 different bucks coming into the house ALL TOGETHER and the same thing in 2009 and 2010 I had 10 bucks total and last year I had 8 different bucks. Why they like my Property I have no clue? But it sure is nice having them here for the wife and I and our friends and family to enjoy. I do archery Hunt and Gun hunt but I WILL NOT HUNT ANY OF THEM! They are like my pets, and also cuz I feed 365days a year. I can walk outside with them laying next to my yard and Mow the dang grass and the smaller scrub bucks don't even care. Now the bigger ones do and they leave until im done, then they come back.
Some of the little scrub bucks let me feed them apples almost out of my hand Its pretty funny cuz in the summer they come over to my front porch 15ft away and wait for me to toss an apple over to them. I got video of that ill have to post that sometime. You would swear they are someone's tame deer. hahahaha But they are not! I also got video of them fighing in they yard in november Not clashing real hard just sparring and toying around before the rut hits.
As far as the rest of the pics many of them are also in the woods around the house and some are at my mom and dads and some are at our other property. Im not sure why the bottom pics didnt come up but you can click on them to see them. Ok ill quit rambling and let ya enjoy the pics!
