I did find a Satellite broad embedded under the skin of a buck my son shot back in the 80's. The bump was not as big as the one in the picture, but it was apparent when standing over the buck. The arrow possibly had been in there from the prior years archery season as it was deteriorating. The broad head was wedged between two ribs with very little penetration. I cut only a small portion around the broad head as outside of that area probably 4" area all looked good. The buck had a good 6 point beam on one side and the beam on the other side was the same size, but with no tines....

Thanks for your thoughts, it’s got me puzzled. I have been watching him all summer and there was nothing then bam there is a mass. Seen him last night and it hasn’t gotten any bigger.
