Sorry your cameras were stolen. Used to be that people respected other's property. Not any more. Some speculate that cameras get stolen on private property because the low lifes don't want to get exposed.
Here are some things I do to prevent theft.
I put the camera in a heavy gage steel security box.
I hot glued bark on the security box to help disguise it.
I use a chain and a lock to secure it to a tree. I don't trust the Python cable.
I painted some limbs from an artificial Christmas tree and use them to camoflauge the chain.
I am careful to put the cameras in remote places.
I use a ladder to put the camera high up on a tree. It is out of the line of sight and out of reach.
If I was really paranoid about putting out camera, I would put one to "watch" the other in the hope that if the main camera is stolen, the second, hidden camera would get an image of the thief. I think most people would stop looking when they find one camera. Just a thought.
