Trail Cam Positioning

Sounds like a dumb question, but do you any advice as where and how to place them? I guess just near trails?

I like to place mine 10-15' from a salt lick and about 30" or so off the ground.

You can't bag a big one if your not out tryin

I put mine just off the side of trails and point them so they face paralleling down the trails that way you get pics of whatever is traveling them! also try not to point them in the direction the sun will be rising or setting because that will trigger the camera ! I put mine about 4" off the ground and pointed slightly downward that way the rain doesn't hit the lens ! I also try to hide them as well as possible like in a dead fall ! I also hide them in the bottom of an uprooted tree in the root system ! Helps from keeping them getting stolen !

Blend in or go hungry !!
