Moultrie Mobile

Has anyone used it? Is it worth the money? Also, if you have one, what camera do you have with it?

Have the 990 and 40I with the updated software. The modem eats batteries, so solar battery charger is the way to go. They just did an updated version of the site, and seems ok so far. For the price so far isnt bad. I use it at the cabin for security and see how much snow is there before heading up.

You get verizon service without a contract, and the picts are on a amazon server if i read it correctly.

I have had one for a little over a year and another one for about 11 months. One is on a m990i and one is on a m888. I like mine.

- Verizon platform (so only work if you have Verizon coverage. Coverage does not have to be real strong, but the weaker the service the more battery usage)
- you have multiple camera choices to use it on.
- will upload every picture taken and not just the first in a series
- can request high resolution image, if you want more detail of a particular buck/picture

- Having two units to secure is a pain.
- wish they would allow combining cameras on one plan and just charge a smaller monthly fee per unit (like Covert did)
- they do use batteries, but all cell cameras do. I would say moultrie is on par with others out there.
- they are distracting at work this time of year and you may kick yourself for not being in stand someday.
