Droptine or branches?

Is this buck sporting a crazy droptine or just a branch from the nearby apple tree?

Looks strange. When you run the cam was there any branch from the tree or ground? If not it appears it could be something draped across his neck. A branch from where he rubbed? I have seen deer walking with pieces of corn stalks caught in their antlers.

The items in question almost appear to large in girth to be drop tines as compared to the girth on the upward tines.

After zooming in a little bit, it almost looks like the back and front leg of another deer. Still hard to tell though.

I tend to think it is a branch from the nearby tree.
I had the camera set to take a five shot burst, and the other pics look similar.
They show no other deer around.

Here are two others from different angles.

To me, it looks like a corn stalk that is bent in two and stuck over his brow. Is there corn nearby?

Possibly. There is corn a couple hundred yards away.

If you look under the deer's throat there appears to be a small tree trunk on the far side of the deer. I believe that is a branch on a small tree and not part of the rack.
