4 Years of Lugnut Pics

Here is what he looked like over the last 4 years. No velvet pics from 2014 as I didn't realize I would be saving these when I started seeing him last year. The second picture is from 2015. Date is wrong on camera.

Very cool stuff. You dont get many chances to watch a certain deer for that many years in PA.

We watched one buck for 8 years. He ended up being shot by our neighbor. He was a 305 pound 6-pointer at the end. He spent the majority of his years as a huge 6-pointer. We called him Czonka.

Really cool.

Do you have hard-horned pics from 15-16? It just completes the picture because there is no perspective of mass with velvet.

I think it's fair to say he was either 3.5 or 4.5 in 2014.... Do you have any pictures or sightings, even if there is some speculation involved from 2013?

I have non-velvet pics from 2015 and 2016. I'll post a couple up.

I was thinking 2.5 in 2014, but maybe older. The antlers were kinda thin then. If he was 3.5, then he's in his prime now.

Never thought a buck would live that long in PA. Cool pics.

I was thinking the same thing. If he was 2.5 in 2014, he's pushing 6 years old. He must have a good hiding spot because even as a 2.5 year old, people would have a hard time passing him up. I'm curious to know the genetics out that way as well.

Chilli - I posted 3 years of pictures of the 6-pointer in a separate thread. Antlers weren't huge, body was. Although his last set was really thick.

Genetics vary quite a bit. Most common is a standard 4x4. In the last 10 years or so, we have seen more and more G4s. Also more non-typical points. Forked brows, forked G2s, even one buck who had 3 main beams. But the average mature deer would be a 130 or so inch 8-pointer.
