Lugnut is Back (big 10 point)

Been following this guy for years. This is the 4th season I have seen him and gotten trail cam pics. Got my first one of 2017 a couple days ago. He was an 8-pointer for the first two seasons and a 10 last year.

Wow. You sure deliver. I just asked for these pics the other day and voila. Good luck on getting him this year. That buck is a trophy anywhere.

that's awesome. I remember following this last summer. Did you ever get any pics out of velvet or during the season? or ever see him during the season.

Best of luck.

I saw him once in the season. Archery. Misjudged the distance and shot right under him. It was in a field and close to quitting time. Hard to judge distance without trees. No range finder. Oops. He may have given me that one shot and I blew it.

We saw him a couple times spotting and he is breath-taking on the hoof.

Kudu - you gave me a direct order. So I followed it.

What's even better: I was scouting in Feb and had a hunch about a new spot. So I put a camera there and marked it on my GPS. There were also a couple smaller bucks, some doe and fawn and a few bear. It's a great feeling when a hunch works out. No corn or minerals. I wanted to see what moved through there naturally.

I think he is going to be really big this year. Last few years he grew until about mid-August. So he has another 6 weeks of growth and his mass is already more than he had ever last summer.

Here is another from last summer:

And one from two years ago:
