Solar - Rechargeable Battery Question

I am going to set up a couple cameras in Colorado. I am going to purchase Wildgame 12V solar panels. My question is this - everything I see shows a 12V 7Ah battery. Would this be the same or work, 8 Pack High Capacity 2800mAh AA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries. I am thinking if the 8 AA's work, they are priced about the same, I would not have to have am extra box (battery box) in addition to the camera attached to the tree.

No they won't.When batteries are in a parallel arrangement you increase current. In a series arrangement you increase voltage.8 1.5 volt batteries in series gets you 12 volts at 2800 milliamp-hours.You can't increase current and voltage at the same time.

Bob Seger,till it shines.
