Today's camera pull...

Got a buck on cam on the 26th of February that is still holding his antlers. Not sure what his interest would be in that doe at this time of year?

I've seen a buck dogging the heck out of a doe on the 8th of February. I wouldn't doubt that there will be a late born fawn......

Explanation is simple in my opinion.

Rut begins when the antlers harden and ends when they fall off.

I did once see a shed buck on a doe over winter. Whether he was "successful" may be a different story.

It's a good spot. Just not today.

Anytime I'm on a doe I consider it a success!
