they made it

Some pre and post season pics of two of the bucks I hunted this year. With the double pic, the pic on the right is actually from September 2015 and the left January 2017. Ought to be a fun fall 2017 chasing these guys, assuming they are still alive at that point.

Wow, those are a couple beauty mountain bucks, love that one with the muley looking fork! Have you laid eyes on either while hunting?

I have not confirmed I've seen them in the daylight. A few times I had seen good deer but can't say for sure.

The split G2 I had actually saw spotting late December 2014. Never stepped foot in the area before so I did a lot of walking that winter trying to understand how they use the area. Killed the buck he was running with. Only hunted him once in 2016 which was a mistake because he was doing the same as the one I killed. I was onto a different big 11 pt but never seen him. I think he survived too but am still looking.

The other one I ended up searching for hard in 2016 but never found him. I have pics of him in 2014 too but never hunted him in 14 or 15. Spotted 3-4 nights a week and ran cams from July-October 2016. Figured he was dead but then the big rubs started showing up. The January 2017 pic is 2.75 miles from the September 2015 pic. The 2017 pic has taught me alot though. I have been visiting his bedding area this winter on different winds but it always does the same. N,W, or S is the same for him. I may try an E but it swirls really bad.

Now i just got to see if they make it to fall and not focus on the others I find in this summer. Doesn't seem like anybody killed much in the areas I hunt which is rare but welcomed.

It's a good spot. Just not today.
