i just dropped my gun and my frizzen broke off my tc pa hunter and the gun shop only has lyman frizzens in stock. will they fit without any modification.
They require some modifacation, I use a cutoff wheel on a dremel tool. I think you are way better off with a Lyman frizzen on your gun, but it needs to be properly installed. TC would likely replace the frizzen for you, and I hear that they have made some better frizzens lately. They would also completely check out thye lock and install their new-style hammer for you. Best bet would probably be to give TC a call.... Good luck to you whatever you decide!!
You will have to pay to ship it back to TC. [censored] for 18 bucks give or take a few you dont have to deal with shipping it TC or waiting for them to fix it.
Over the years I've bought about 4 or 5 extra T\C frizzens. Everyone knows the T\C frizzens don't last all that long because they are not case hardened all the way through.
So, when I get two or three that are no longer "good", I just send 'em back to T\C with a note and my return address (the most important part!!!) asking them to replace them as they no longer spark.
thanks for all the help. i think im gonna ship it back to tc
