I do confess, I've hunted many 2 legged Whitetails on Sunday in my younger days.

I have been giving this poll some thought and a few things have come to mind. Whenever I kill a deer it’s important to me that it was done ethically and according to plan. Anything that deviates from that takes a little bit of the joy out of it. It could be just getting one by pure luck. Perhaps making a bad hit and taking a long time to recover it. Shooting one that was wounded badly by another hunter. When it comes to killing one in a illegal manner ( never done that ) it would be burned in my brain forever. I wouldn’t even want to reminisce about it because it would just bring me guilt and pain. To me a big part of hunting is obeying the laws and harvesting game within the guidelines of those laws . Anything else is cheating and I am not a cheater.

The farms I have permission to hunt have already made it quite clear that Sunday hunting is a no no. Scout, repair a stand, or finish tracking a deer from legal time Saturday afternoon is fine, but not hunting.....including coyote. And I, fine with it.

Remember.... they're full time deer......we're part time hunters!

I think you are confused, I believe they were broadtails.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I don't understand. The question is, have you hunted deer in PA on a Sunday.

Everyone knows it's not legal, we can get past that fact.

With that said, have you hunted deer on Sunday (illegally)?

A few guys have, a majority has not. If you had and took the poll which is anonymous, you would check YES. If you have not, you check NO.

This is simply to see who has/has not hunted deer in PA on a Sunday.

See, simple.

About 8 miles from the PA border into NY I have. Unbelievably, the sky didn't fall.

The only reason I don't in PA is due to legality....

In the 80"s I moved out of suburb Pgh. to be close to WV and OH to be able to hunt on Sunday, take advantage of the extended grouse season Feb., more Spring turkey season time, extended bag limits, extend my archery buck hunting after taking an early buck in PA, some great pheasant hunting and to duck hunt, water ski and fish the less crowded OH lakes.

As a result I have been lucky enough to increase my hunting time/pleasure for many years which more than made up for the long drive to the office which wasn't that often since my job required me to travel usually 4 days a week from the airport which was a short drive.

No never hunted on Sunday in PA for deer, but have used that day to scout, move stands and run T cams.
