What's your count day to day. wildlife

Maybe a sticky? Just curious what all of you guys are seeing out here. I went out the first day and seen:

5 doe in the am
3 doe in the pm
heard a group of coyotes cut loose howling and yapping in the evening. Few squirrels and chipmunks

Guy we were hunting with seen and passed on an 8 point in the am. The pm another guy we were with shot a 13 point with an 18" spread recovered the deer after a 2 hour wait. He hit it in the back corner of one lung and the exit was a little far back. His first buck with a bow.

Another guy seen 3 buck but it was 2 thick to even count points, he is relocating his stand.

Anyone else notice a lot of rubs already in the woods? We have seen a good many!

Experience the Xtreme!

Oct 2, Saw 3 bucks and 2 doe, several squirrels/chippies,
a couple bunnies, turkeys, geese. No shots for me but my
uncle took a 7 pointer in the morning.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!

My 12 year son, Matt and I, went out for his first bow hunt. We left the house around 3:40pm. Hunted out of my Double Bull blind. Spooked 3-4 turkeys on the way in. About 5:10pm, had a nice buck and 3 does come by at about 40 yards, too far and no opportunity for a shot. Later about 6pm, had 3 hen turkeys at 6-7 yards right outside the blind. If only it had been turkey season. All in all, a good afternoon in the woods. Pete

Opening day just ended being me....3 does at 8AM, about 6 yards out. A fawn, a 1.5er and an older Momma...actually a pretty good trio to take one out of. But it just did not feel like a "killing time" , all I had to do was let one fly , I was enjoying the morning too much....sounds a little strange i know, but i was pretty deep in thought when they appeared and I never moved for the crossbow at all til they were pasT and quartering away, had the shot, just didn't.

Doing some pheasant flushing this weekend....

First day, Oct. 2... Got out for the afternoon hunt till dark. Seen 3 doe and 1 flock of turkey very young birds to be exact.

Today Oct. 4 in the rain. Not a deer tail. But seen many squirrels and 1 Hawk. Out of the woods by 9:30, rain got too heavy.

Hopefully will get out this Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Oct. 4th

1.5 hours = 3 doe. Let them walk, I don't like to shoot does on a weekday evening, work comes to early the next morning!!!!

Oct 5, 2 bucks (a 6 and an 8) no shots, and a doe. I still
believe rainy days are good buck hunting days. Just seems
to be that way.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!
