Bowjax crossbow kit report

I just installed my Bowjax kit with a few modifications. It has lowered the twang noise alot. I put the limb dampeners on the limbs. The bolt retainer dampener had to be modified because it rubbed the flecthing. I kept shaving it with razor blade until fletching cleared. It is definetly smaller, but I figure that it is better than nothing on the retainer. I did not put the string dampeners on the string, as I read this lowers bolt velocity. Instead, I took 2 of them and put them on the foot stirup. I used epoxy plus a wire tie to secure them. I can honestly say noise has been lowered.

Yep, noticable difference on my Excal as well. Thanks for the report.

Re: Bowjax crossbow kit report

Lots of noise and vibration in the foot stirrup. There are lots of ways to help out the foot stirrup.
