Horton brotherhood X bow

I went shopping for a new crossbow today, went to Dicks and Wally world and the sportsmans liquidator store in State college .found a Horton Brotherhood package for 319.00.I know all the stuff about Horton no longer being around but I have had good luck in the past with Horton so I took the leap of faith.A bit heavy but otherwise seems like a sturdy setup.I have not shot it yet but will report back as soon as I do.WISH ME LUCK......

Re: Horton brotherhood X bow

Yeah, the local Sportsman's Liquidators in my area actually either tried to lie to me or flat out didn't know that Horton had bitten the big bazooka a couple weeks before when the asst mgr came over to me when he saw me looking at the Horton bows on the wall. He swore up and down that they would be covered under Horton's warranty. When I told him I KNEW the company was solvent and for a couple weeks and that the warranty was null and void he changed his story real quick like. When I told him I was also good friends with his boss he looked like he'd seen a ghost...

I have one and I love it. Put a Hawke Red Dot Sight, with the 3 dots, on it you won't regret it. Mine is dead on at 20, 30 and 40 yards.

Re: Horton brotherhood X bow

Mine actually came with the 4 x 32 scope...Already picked up some new bolts/arrows.I will shoot Crimson Talon hyperspeeds out of it.The girl who helped me was very up front about the NO WARRANTY situation, which I was already aware of...I just didn't have 800-1000 dollars for a "TOP SHELF" outfit.

Re: Horton brotherhood X bow

Thanks for the feedback guys...I think I will be happy with it.I coach youth football so I will only be able to hunt Friday and Saturdays so it will be getting minimal field time.
