Crossbow service needed around Carlisle

Anyone know a shop in the Carlisle/Mechanicsburg area that would service my crossbow? I did a number on my ribs last weekend and would like to have this as a plan B if needed. It's an old horton legend i've had for a dozen years, never hunted with it just backyard shooting, looks like a new cable and possibly some better sights. Thanks

Edit to fix spelling.

No offense, but I wouldn't take my nephew's toy bow to a Bass Pro. Unless they have some techs there that are better than the normal types I've seen in other Bass Pro's...no thank you!

Re: Crossbow service needed around Carlisle

You may want to check with the shop to see what it would cost to get the work done. Just some food for thought but for some more money you may be able to purchase a new crossbow. I believe the Wicked Ridge line made by Tenpoint is around $400. I would check with Arrowhead on here and see what he could get you. Sometimes he has some used crossbows for sale as well. Horton is no longer in business so I am not even sure what the availability of parts will be.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!

Thank you, I came home and decided I was just going to build a press from 2x6 lumber and a ratchet strap, turns out a 4' pipe clamp, 2 towls and 3 nylon straps worked well enough to remove the old cable so when the new one arrives it should go on just as easy.

Re: Crossbow service needed around Carlisle

The new cable i ordered was 30 bucks, BUT I will talk to arrowhead and see what he has. I've had this horton a longtime and it's one of those 1 pin sights, maybe I can upgrade to something a little better. I actually let my nephew borrow this one about 3 years ago since I never used it and went back to get it from him this past weekend after I realized I may need a plan B and determined it needed work to be usable...
