Ten Point Titan vs Barnett Ghost 350

I think I have narrowed my choices down to the Ten Point Titan or the Barnett Ghost 350. Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts on either of these crossbows?

Ten point. no question. Much better bow. Might not be a speed demon like the ghost but you'll appreciate how well its built over the Barnett every day you own it.

Have you checked out Excalibur? If not I would certainly suggest them. I can't rave about mine enough. Accurate, easy to work on if needed, and with the heavier broadheads your quarry doesn't go far.
I personally liked the Titan, but for the price... I thought the Axiom was a way better value.

Does Excalibur make a crank/cocking system? Someone told me that the Excalibur crossbows are extremely wide.

Yes Excal does make a crank cocking device. I have one for my wife to use. They are not built into the stock like the Tenpoints are. They do work well however. The new Matrix series is a lot more narrow than the older Excaliburs. I would go try some out and see what you think. There are advantages and disadvantages to both compounds and recurves. I like the simplicity and the ability to change strings myself without going to a bow shop.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!

My buddies dad has an Excalibur. I cannot imagine pulling a 225 lb recurve!! I gave him a call tonight. He said with the rope cocker if you do pull the string back evenly, it will shoot 6 inches right or left. He invited me to come up and shoot it. Does the crank eliminate the possibility of not pulling it evenly?

A rope cocker or a crank should both result in the string latch grabbing the string in the center.

Re: Ten Point Titan vs Barnett Ghost 350

for me it would be the ghost because the ten points don't shoulder well for me,If you can shoot them both and decide from there

Sniper 370 / victory X bolts / shockwave 100grn / KI lumix with speedring (mine)

Go on Ebay buy a ghost 350, five shots later you will be dead on at 20 yards and love the thing.
Buy your wife something nice with the hundreds of dollars you save.
