Crossbow on the stand ?

Do you have your crossbow on your lap while in treestand or do you hang it up? If you hang it up do you hang it by the stirrip

Re: Crossbow on the stand ?

I hang with a Realtree tree hanger by the foot stirrup.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: Crossbow on the stand ?

I don't like to hang it up as it can take some movement to get it down. Since I hunt with my kids we hunt out of double ladderstands with a shooting rail. I lay the crossbow on an angle across the corner of the shooting rail or will hold it in my lap.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!

Re: Crossbow on the stand ?

Laying on my lap. The less movement the better since I'm only 10ft up at max.

Re: Crossbow on the stand ?

I place it on the rail of my double ladder stand and secure it with a bungy cord.

Re: Crossbow on the stand ?

Both. Sometimes it's in my lap, others on the hook.
