excaliber firebolt question

im thinking after the season i would like to work with these bolts.i was thinking about having them shortened a inch an then refletching with blazer vanes.do these bolts have wieghted inserts in th front.i really dont know much about customizing arrows but would like something alittle different so i figure i would work with what i have an i have over a half dozen of these.tell me what you think or give me some suggestions.i used the carbon express maxium hunters in my cx1 an loved them.these would be for my vixen crossbow.i woldnt mind picking up a few fps along the way either.

Re: excaliber firebolt question

I would probably use the 80 grain brass insert with those arrows. Ten Pont makes them, and we normally have them in stock. Blazer vanes will likely drag in the barrel channel. You might want to use a 3 inch Fusion vane insead.
