Barnett Crossbows

I was wondering if anyone could give any feedback on Barnett Crossbows. I was asked by my wife what I wanted for christmas, and thats what I told her. Just wondering which one is better, which one to stay away from. Any another recommendations.

Re: Barnett Crossbows

I bought my 8yo son a wildcat a few weeks ago and its a neat weapon. Super easy to sight in. He was hitting the bull the first time he fired it at 20 yards. I dont know much of anything about crossbows but they are very loud. I would like to find a silencer kit for the wildcat if they make one. Not sure if all crossbows are loud or not?

I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Re: Barnett Crossbows

I have used a quad 400 w rage broad heads. Killed two buck very fast and accurate. Although I have heard people complain about their Barnetts. For the price it's a great crossbow.

Re: Barnett Crossbows

look at Parker bows or Excal. Better bow maker. Barnett= china junk.

I got burnt by the speed at all cost hype a few years ago. Ya have to ask ur self how much cheap/plastic do ya want in ur x-bow? Ask about triggers? Then pick ur bow...

will hunt for food....

Re: Barnett Crossbows

Go with Ten Point or Wicked Ridge if you can. If you really want a Barnett I would get a Vengence if you can. They are a reverse draw and shoot really well. Great trigger, lightweight and very quiet. I spent a few days with one a few weeks ago....nice crossbow for sure.

Re: Barnett Crossbows

Some love them but I am not one of them. The low end Jackal has been a reliable bow and the higher end Vengeance seems to be doing well but as any newer model, it will take some more time to make a verdict.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
