Crossbow broke-no hunting tonight

This happened while cocking the bow. Put a dent in the side of my bow but didn't hurt me at all.

That's not good. At least you didn't get injured. Did the string break causing the limb to break or did the limb just splinter?

It was a Horton Legend S/L. The string did not break, the pulley just broke out of the limb.

Re: Crossbow broke-no hunting tonight

Just tonight I was sitting in my stand looking at my x-bow and thinking "what if" the cable or pulleys break. There is a lot of energy just waiting to go somewhere.

I'm glad you did not get hurt.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Re: Crossbow broke-no hunting tonight

It's good that nobody was hurt. Many companies are using pins through the limbs to prevent this from happening.
