Excalibur Equinox

I did it guys....!!!!

I'm officially a certified crossbow junkie..I must have
been to Cabela's 8-10 times before i pulled the trigger
on an Excal..Having an absolute blast with this crossbow.

Honestly..I've been a bowhunter my whole life..As i've
gotten older and many big game hunts later..My intense
passion for the sport seemed to de-cline the past few
years..For whatever reason..This bow could possible be
the last bow i ever buy.and I'm ok with that.

Looking to upgrade my bolts and I like fixed broadheads.

Can someone give me a good set up combination bolt and
broadhead that works well to avoid an expensive learning
curve..

Thankyou

Re: Excalibur Equinox

Congrats on the new purchase you will love it!!

I have an Excal Ibex and I shoot the Excal bolts and broadheads and have zero problems with accuracy or putting deer on the ground after the shot.

Not a darn thing wrong with improving an already great set up but is it really worth the added time and money to improve... what??

I'm sure you will get lots of good advise on accessories. Good luck!!

Re: Excalibur Equinox

i shoot a equinox and have no troubles with accuracy shooting the excal bolts with a 100 gr muzzy head....40 yards i have no trouble shooting 1-1/2 inch groups (5 shots) with these heads...just be sure to know your limitations with distance when shooting at wildlife....

i hear way too many "new xbow owners" saying how they shoot at deer 60+ yards...well im here to tell you even tho your xbox will kill them that far you still have a great possibility of the animal taking 1 step to get a bad hit.....

enjoy your new tool and have fun!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS

Re: Excalibur Equinox

I have an Equinox, great bow. I like Goldtip with brass inserts from Arrowhead and Slicktrick 125 broadheads.

Re: Excalibur Equinox

Just got a Phoenix, not impressed with the trigger. Hows yours ? The Firebolts flew good with target tips but not good with Thunderhead125's, switched to Goldtip Lasers and all was good.

Alrighty then!

That is something you usually don`t hear is bad triggers on an Excal. I have an Exocet 200 and the trigger is really nice.
