Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

I just happened to be at Higleys Archery today when their very first one was delivered by UPS.

It's definately light. Maybe a tad too long for my liking and it seemed to me that the power stroke was shorter than most bows. No stirrup, it had round bumpers mounted on the limbs.

I did not get to shoot it, wish I could have hung around and tried it.

I personally did not like the look, or feel of the bow. So, for $800, I could find another that more closely fit my needs.

Wow that`s an ugly crossbow. I more and more these days they are ugly though. That`s why I love my Excal Exocet 200 so much. Very traditional.

Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

How do you cock it without a stirrup?

Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

Your foot goes inside the limb on either the left or right side of the barrel. They have like a cleat thing there to step on.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!

Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

Yep. There are two production bows that have this feature and one soon to hit the market. There is definitely a move towards shorter more compact bows. Eliminating the conventional foot stirrup can save 3-4 inches off of total length.

Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

One nice feature is that you can back out the limb bolts to change string or cables, nice for the folks without a press

Re: Mathews Mission MXB360

I saw one yesterday at Reeves in Washington. I did notice it was very light. It actually felt cheap with all the plastic parts. The rep fired it and it chrono at 345. Seems a little steep.
