Carbon Express Covert CX2

Hi, I am looking at a 1 year old CE Covert CX2. Good shape and only shot a few times. Asking price is $375. I can't find much info about the bow. Any opinions on the quality and price of this bow?
Thanks....

Re: Carbon Express Covert CX2

its an ok bow. I feel its top heavy and "clunky". I hope ya get some extra stuff at that price. Made over seas bow. So ya better get a lower price for if it breaks ya gonna pay to have it fixed.I would get some extra ,arrows, broadheads, string wax,etc.....

For just a little more money you can have a better made new bow with full warranty.

Thanks Koz. Kinda what I was thinking. Dicks has $50 off + $25 rebate on their wicked ridge invaders.

No prob, I shoot for Parker and I really like our line of bows, but thats a sweet deal on the Wicked Ridge.

Re: Carbon Express Covert CX2

More to the story...I borrowed the Carbon Express to try out. 1st time I cocked the bow at home, one of the limbs broke . Glad I hadn't purchased it. Took it back and tried a SZ 350. Wow, what a light trigger. I have read some issues with the safety. Any thoughts on the SZ 350 vs the Wicked Ridge Invader?

Re: Carbon Express Covert CX2

The SZ has been pretty reliable after the initial glitches were worked out. The safety is still touchy and many do not like how easy it is to slide off on some bows.

Presently, I am not a big Bowtech fan as I do not like their business model relative to the crossbow industry. With that said, the 350 is a very nice bow as is the Wicked Ridge.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

If I was going to chose I would go with the Wicked Ridge. TenPoint's customer service has a long standing track record of being exceptional.

I don't want to get into it too much but basically crossbows and their users are a side show to Bowtech. At least now they are. That may change with Mathews getting into the crossbow business in a few weeks. Alot fo eyes will be on Mathews to see how the incorporate crossbows into their business model.
