Where do you keep your crossbow....

when sitting in your stand when you are waiting for the deer to come out? Do you hold it in your lap, put on a hook on the tree, or have something else rigged up? I rest mine on the shooting rail and my lap. I have tried to keep it on a hook on the tree, but don't like to have to make that much movement to get it.

Re: Where do you keep your crossbow....

This being my first year using one, I intend to have it close by, on my lap mostly, and hang it for short snack and lunch breaks.

I hold it in my lap.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!

A good tip is to always keep your camera ready also.I lost a chance at getting pictures of a bobcat last year..

rested on my shooting rail and lap. one nice feature of having the enforcer is the open forearm. can keep a good grip on the bow with one hand and not worry about fingers getting in the string path and run a call with the other and have the bow at the ready the whole time.

Or in my case make sure to take the camera with you. That is on my list of things to do.

Mine is always on the hook until the need arises to pick it up.
