Cocking rope tip
Been busy putting together a book titled A Beginners Guide to Crossbows for Crossbow Magazine.
Thought I would share this tip from the book for those that may struggle a bit using a rope cocker during the last few inches of the cocking stroke. This is especially helpful for those with shorter arms, women and kids. Also bows with longer power strokes can be tough.
Take your rope and shorten it by several inches. This will require you to pull the string up a bit to grab the hooks but results in a shorter stroke with better leverage.
I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
