Need Scope Recommendation

I need a scope recommendation. I want something I can shoot up to the last minute of shooting time, if possible. The scope that came with my crossbow isn't the best.

God Bless the USA.

Re: Need Scope Recommendation

The best choice for that would be a Leupold 2-7 for light gathering and a HHA optimizer for elevation of the Leupold.

Another good choice is the Hawke XB-30. I'm not sure it would go to the very last minute though.

What scope do you have now?

I'm familiar with the optics on that bow. A Hawke 3x32 will be a step up. They are $79 Also Parker Red Hot is another version of the Hawke with a different reticle, they are $99 both will get you to nearly dark without a problem.

From Arrowhead.

As far as great light gathering, consider a low power variable along with the HHA Optimizer. A high quality 1.5x5 or 2x7 that has a single reticle is a great combination with the optimizer. Pretty much 0-30 and you will be good without having to play with the dial, past thirty, dial the HHA and you are gold. I tested the HHA and it is dead on accurate.

A cheaper alternative is a straight 3 or 4x power of better quality than you have. Hawke makes very good crossbow scopes.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: Need Scope Recommendation

Got to step up to the Hawke SR for illumination I believe. It will cost ya quite a bit more and it has circles as its reticle which I am not a big fan of.
