Re: Horton fury

I really wanted one but heard of a possible issue with them. Not sure if there are any issues, but I will wait and let others test them this season and see how things go.

Re: Horton fury

Was playing with one yesterday. Didn't shoot it but gave everything the once over. Nice looking bow but I had a bad feeling about the trigger on the one I was handling. I do think that there was something wrong with the trigger assembly.

Word is that there are some issues which I suspect was the case with the one I handled. Horton brought the Fury to the ATA in prototype form. One has to wonder how much real world testing this bow had before being released.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: Horton fury

I have one and it's a great bow, could not resist buying one after getting my wife a vision last season, they had some issues with anti dry fire and string stoppers which I have been told they are fixing and have fixed on bows they are shipping now.

Re: Horton fury

There seems to be a trigger/safety issue going on at the moment. I would probably wait it out for this season and let them work the bugs out.

Re: Horton fury

Well, I just purchased the Havoc. I would assume the Havoc and the Fury have the same trigger. I've only shot one bolt from this so I can't comment on it.

But, I'll be doing some practice with it and hopefully it will do the job and hold up as it was designed to do.

Re: Horton fury

Well....I got some time today to sight in and shoot the Havoc. Whoever said that repeated rope cocking of a cross-bow was easy.....well, not so much as I had sweat running down my brow after about 6 or 7 shots!!!

But, it wasn't all that bad doing the rope-cocking....just not like doing the crank thing!!!

I have the cross-bow just about "wired" and man, I will say that it's very accurate and very fast!! I was just shooting from 20 yards, so the next trip I will go out further...but this little cross-bow does build my confidence in it's ability to hit what I'm going to point it at.

I just need to do my end of the job!!
