Its an "ok" bow made over seas. Its has a clunky feel. They have a pretty nice trigger. Heavy bow. If not getting a killer deal I would look at other bows.

Re: carbon express covert sls

I've spent some range time with a few of them. They feel similar to last years Parker Tornado. A bit heavier, but they balance well. (tips the scale at just over 9 lbs. set up) Trigger has slack at the begining of the stroke, but breaks nicely. (notice I didn't say clean) It's a noisy bow, but the X-Factor silencer helps tremendously. At $599 (our price) for the package it's a very good deal. I don't know how customer service will be though.

Just wondering what other crossbows you are considering? There are so many choices this year I'm sure it's a difficult decision. I would be happy to chat about crossbows with you. I've shot nearly all of the crossbows that are available this year and have an opinion about each and every one. I can be reached at 814-662-4321

Some good choices there. Axiom and Invader are both a bit slower, but will likely have a longer life. Axiom is very lightweight and you will be able to service the bow yourself. Great trigger on both Axiom and Invader. 10 year old Excalibur and Ten Point crossbows are not uncommon.

This is Parkers first year with a split limb design. I know of a few problems that seem to be creeping up as folks are getting some time on them and others that are very happy. The jury is still out and only time will tell.

Re: carbon express covert sls

Our camp is located at 3540 Huston Hill Rd. Best way to get there is go up Hicks Run Rd.(near Hicks Run Viewing area) and then right onto Barr Hollow Rd.-- At the top of the hill there will be a long straightaway with the Stanish Farm on the right. We are about halfway out the straight on the left in a small camper. Hope to see you there. If there is anything I can bring along just let me know.
