I'm officially a crossbow owner!
Finally got to purchase my xbow today after a month or so of internet research and visiting a couple stores.
I went with a Parker Tomahawk with IR scope purchased from Higleys Archery, Centerville PA, which is close to me. The model was in my price range and I felt it was a quality bow for the price of the package. The worker at Higleys had me zeroed at 20 yds before I walked out the door. He included a rope cocking device, barrel lube, string wax, a couple hats, and I purchased 2 additional bolts to allow me to have an even 6.
Spent an hour shooting in the backyard late this afternoon and the accuracy of the bow is quite good. I fine tuned the scope a little and I'm hitting good at 20-40 yds.
Plan on spending quite a bit of time over the coming month really getting used to the xbow, and getting really dialed in for the upcoming season.
As a side note, my wife also shot it tonight. First shot she was dead on, not sure if that's good or bad, she may want one now, lol.
Thanks to all whom posted advice.
