bipod/monopod

any recommendations for use with a crossbow. This would be a setup for my son to use instead of shooting off-hand. thanks

My son and I use a Primos Triggerstick Monopod with the crossbow. It works well.

Re: bipod/monopod

I use a steddy eddy monopod on my TenPoint. It mounts to the front swivel stud and folds under and clamps to the crossbow butt stock for carry. You can shoot the crossbow off hand without dropping down the monopod. Works well from the ground or in a treestand without the worry of dropping it or having the crossbow fall off the rest. When it's folded up to shoot off-hand, it's handy to hold the monopod grip with your non-shooting hand and has the added benefit of keeping your hand and fingers well below the string. I think these will fit other bows beside the TenPoint but a call to their factory will confirm this.

The older I get, the stronger gravity becomes.

I use a triggerstick too. I alzo use it for a walking stick to take the pressure off my knee while walking. Best invention yet.

The Ten Point steddy eddy is a good choice as well.

Re: bipod/monopod

Hunting on the ground, hard to beat a trigger stick. In a stand, consider a knee pod if there is not rail to shoot off of. The Ready Shot is a nice knee pod.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
