You can attach one of these to it and then mount the camera on there. Then your set to mount it any gun also.

Re: xbow camera mount

I use one of these. Just drill a hole in the center and mount your camera. Available on my website. Just click the link in my signature.

Re: xbow camera mount

Mike, Do you have to remove the scope to mount that? Will it work with a small sony handy cam?

Bill I like you mount I may have to fab something. I was looking on amazon.com for cheap tripods that i can remove the mount and fab it to something. i want a ball type mount so i can adjust the camera easy.

I really don't want to have to remove my scope to mount anything. plus I want it to be universal so I can move it easy between my bow, xbow,or gun. I have been looking at handlebar mounts as a possiblity of mounting it right on a scope

On some bows, maybe. Depends on how low your scope is mounted to the base. I have three bows and only one of them would I have to put higher rings on to get enough clearance. That one is a Excalibur with low Hawke rings. My Parker and TenPoint will work perfectly as mounted from the factory.

You will need 7/16th of clearance under the scope and between the base.

To mount a small camcorder, drill a hole in the top mount quiver and attach the camcorder with a standard screw for cameras and video equipment.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: xbow camera mount

If you build a mount, be sure to make it mount near the back of the crossbow. If you mount it to the front you will get too much camera shake to see what happened at the shot. That is one of the reasons the Bohning mount is, the way it is.
