Full season or just the rut?

Most of the archery hunters I know hunt throughout the
season but I do know a few that ONLY hunt the rut. They
start around halloween most years. What do you do? I hunt
the full season but admit over the last few years I do like
hunting the last two weeks the most. I have scored on bucks
during the opening week a few times but the last few years
the first week of November has been when I got my deer.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!

I just like to hunt always. Whenever work and family allow.

Re: Full season or just the rut?

I hunt whenver the season is open. My rut stands are different from my early season stands anyway so I don't mess up the different areas.

I enjoy hunting to much to sit out the majority of the season.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

I hunt whenever I can and as much as I can.

Whenever I can, favor evenings over mornings.

Re: Full season or just the rut?

Hunt all season, but admit i burn out the stand too quickly with scent and my traffic, so i tend to switch stands for the rut (see heart attack buck) Dont like to get up early, but favor mornings over evenings anytime because i have all day to track if needed.
