fair price for parker cyclone

I got a package deal from Arrowhead 2 seasons ago. I am really considering going back to compounds. I miss hunting with them and there is really no point in keeping it if I do this. After my experiences with it I would not let my kids hunt with it I just don't trust all of the energy.. I am looking for 750.00 for the package. I got the Hawke scope, rope cocker, 13 Victory xbolts(2 of them need fletched), the case, scope caps, sling,Limbsaver dampeners on the foot stirrup, Quiver, folding hand grip on the front, rubber rail pads under bolt rail for grip/hand warmth and extra scope batteries along with the original papers and DVD. I also have field points and 3 Rage crossbow broadheads one of which I shot into a foam target one time. The cyclone is the model with the adjustable stock (This was a feature I REALLY like)

Experience the Xtreme!

Re: fair price for parker cyclone

I am not sure on the fair price becasue I don't sell crossbows, I buy em ...LOL, and all were new and at a set price, but I may have interest when all is said and done here and if no one buys it from ya. It is the only one in the Parker line I want that I don't have and the way this year went I can see needing one more for 2012.

Let me know when you iron it out. I will be down to Indiana county a couple times over the next month or so.

Re: fair price for parker cyclone

Trapper, I am not sure if I am missing something here but what happened?

I have been thinking about getting a crossbow but I have no experience with them at all, so knowing what you experienced could be real helpful for me.

I am only 50 years old but I have arthritis and gave up bow hunting about 7 years ago, but I miss being out there every year when the season rolls around.

Thanks Bill

Re: fair price for parker cyclone

In my experience with a crossbow I come to find for me they are more clumsy to carry and deal with in a tree stand. I do not trust the string being close to your hands(for kids) I have seen 5 crossbows "explode" since I bought mine. One of them was due to the fault of the owner putting new vanes on and not lining up the knock with the odd fletch causing the bolt to slide in normally and letting the crossbow fire as normal but the knock was turned and cut the string after firing ruining the xbow and his season)I just really miss my compound! It is nice having the speed and scope on the crossbow... Another reason I like the compound more is follow up. With a crossbow you have to cock it by either rope cocker or crank style. Have you ever tried to rope cock a crossbow in a treestand? IT STINKS!! Buy a crank? NOT FOR $150.00.Compound you just grab another arrow. Not that you get another shot but you might! I don't really have any reason at all for switching from a compound to a crossbow in the first place other than speed. I thought it would be a lot easier but after 2 seasons of hunting I would like to go back. If this will get you back out there in the field due to injury or disability xbows are a great answer. I don't have anything against crossbows other than what I mentioned above. If I HAD TO shoot one to hunt so be it.

might wanna post it in the for sale sections of the classifieds.

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.
